Beef Tank

Strategy:

Loken’s Unnamed Aura ability is an important thing to understand about this fight. The further away you stand from him the more damage it does to you. If you’re close enough to him it doesnt do any damage.

The tank should tank him right in front of his throne on the circle in front of it. Everyone should stack on top of the tank (close to Loken) due to the Unnamed Aura. Once the tank has established threat the DPS classes should lay into him until he begins to casts Lightning Nova. When Loken starts to cast Lightning Nova everyone should run down the stairs (to where they started) and out of range of it. After it’s casted he’ll then come to the tank and the dps can continue. When he casts Lightning Nova again everyone should run back to the circle and wait for him to come.

Healers should use any AoE heals that they mave after running from Loken due to the damage taken from the Aura while running from him. Healers should also be mindful of Arc Lightning and keep group members topped off (HoTs are good for this).

A well geared level 80 tank can also just eat the Lightning Nova and keep him in the circle while the others run out. The Non Heroic video below illustrates this.

Strategy:

Nothing changes in the strategy for Heroic mode except that the tank should probably not try eating the Lightning Nova and Arc Lightning seems to happen a lot more often.
